Why are the oil paintings untitled?

For about a year I have devoted myself artisticall to the topic of Shibari. This is a Japanese rope bondage art form.

Someone  asked me why the oil paintings are untitled  and he thought about what title he would give them. And that’s exactly my point what I want to achieve. With my representation of Shibari pictures I would like to offer a projection surface. Judging by the resonances so far, what triggers them is so different for each person. Interestingly enough the answer on the question “what do you see on his painting?” varies completely. Some people are repelled, outraged, fascinated or aroused. For some it triggers suppressed desires. I would like to invite to use the emotional reaction as an opportunity to reflect on own assumptions or prejudges. And I really wish that we get in dialogue about it to broaden our horizons and to normalise variety
